Independence Day

Not really a good movie to watch on July the 4th for New Yorkers, is it? Why do everybody have to aim the majestic Empire State building? Can't you do like Cobra Commander and go destroy the Eiffel Tower instead? Sigh!

To tell you the truth...I liked the alien crew better than the human race. Does that make me a traitor? Is that bad? Well, not my fault if they are much cuter.

Aeon Flux & Ultraviolet

I see the two of them in the same category. Both, whether it is Milla Jovovich or Charlize Theron, they are beautiful main female leads with a sexy-futuristic look.

Eventhough, their suits put their perfect body in display, I did not like their hairstyle at all. Don't get me wrong, I love the colors, just not the cut.

Beside my main women's physical appearance (a win for Charlize since she's wearing black, but also a win for Milla since she has a nicer sword, which brings us to a tie), all scenes were nicely shot and I liked the architectural design of all places.

Conclusion: watch it only for your eyes, because the story is not developed enough. Cheeeeea!!!

The Avengers

Secretly hoping that my contribution to The Avengers' first weekend box office will make a difference...make a sky high profit...bigger than Titanic's. *crossing fingers*

G.E.N.I.U.S. is the only word that comes to mind. Seriously, where else can you find such a good storyline and amazing cast? Wordless level of eye candy from second 1 till the ending credit. What more can you ask? Having Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Helmsworth as Thor, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Scarlett Johanson as Black Widow, and Cobie Smulder as Agent Maria Hill.

The only downside is prolly the fact that Samuel Jackson got too much screentime, but on the other hand...

...my favorite and world-saving Iron Man still got his charm, if not, even more. Moreover, he is probably the only person on earth who can have that level of charisma without me having a word of complaint.
