The Quest

I like 'tournament-style' movies and The Quest is one of the bests in its category.

My favorite movie from JCVD, despite his lack of emotions and acting skill. Anyway, you won't have a problem to enjoy the movie by only watching the fights and the sceneries. My words.

Office Space

One word: hilarious.

Can't believe Milton got fired, but still goes to work (without getting paid)...in the dark and disgusting basement.

And you also won't believe he really burt down the entire building. Epic. Should I consider him one of my idols?

Nightmare Before Christmas

Euh...is this a Halloween or Christmas movie? After all these years, still not quite sure.

To keep it simple:
    - The story is kind of special.
    - Don't like the porcelaine-ish graphic style.
    - Characters are unusual. (They ruined the name of 'Sally')
    - Songs are smooth to the ear.

Well, this is prolly Tim Burton's best work. I find.

Eragon

Here is another example of a stupid teenager boy as main character. His immaturity and ignorance caused Jeremy Iron/Brom's death while wanting to save his worthless life. The poor man got shot in the heart by a soldier...in the middle of the movie (not the end). -_-"

Other than Brom, the useless-but-lucky boy, also got Saphira's help. Pfffff!!! Otherwise, how would he be able to achieve what he did and still be alive at the end of the movie???

Honestly. It is not a problem if you are mentally slow, but make sure your appearance covers the gap. If not? Well...it's a lost case.

Miss Congeniality I & II

This movie has always been and will always be on my top 10 list.

Can I say that Sandra Bullock was at her highest peak at that time?
She is absolutely FABULOUS...and armed. So, be careful.

8.7.12

Maid In Manhattan

This movie is certainly one of Jlo's best. All actors were well chosen. Well~ You can't really go wrong with one-of-Hollywood's-most-charming-actors...Ralph Fiennes. *melting*

Other than that, I loved the story. Very unusual and unrealistic, but definitely romantic enough to make innocent women dream.

+++ I do love Jennifer Lopez (now), but you have got to admit that Natasha Richardson was way more attractive back then.

Look at the purse!!!

OMG! Just noticed that I have the same penguin plush at home. LOL

Siiigh!!! Still can't believe Natasha Richardson passed away. ~^_^~

Parent Trap (1998)

In your face!  (To whom I had this discussion, can't remember) I told you it wasn't the Olsen's, but Lindsay Lohan playing both twins. Mwahahahah!!!!

Lindsay Lohan was actually once talented. Orz

Wouldn't it be so amazing to have such good looking AND rich parents?

Love. Natasha Richardson. Still can't believe she died while taking a ski lesson (not actually skiing on a mountain), here in Quebec, Canada. Tssssssk. No wonder why people prefer going to the States instead of Canada. Sound safer.

Independence Day

Not really a good movie to watch on July the 4th for New Yorkers, is it? Why do everybody have to aim the majestic Empire State building? Can't you do like Cobra Commander and go destroy the Eiffel Tower instead? Sigh!

To tell you the truth...I liked the alien crew better than the human race. Does that make me a traitor? Is that bad? Well, not my fault if they are much cuter.

9.5.12

Aeon Flux & Ultraviolet

I see the two of them in the same category. Both, whether it is Milla Jovovich or Charlize Theron, they are beautiful main female leads with a sexy-futuristic look.

Eventhough, their suits put their perfect body in display, I did not like their hairstyle at all. Don't get me wrong, I love the colors, just not the cut.

Beside my main women's physical appearance (a win for Charlize since she's wearing black, but also a win for Milla since she has a nicer sword, which brings us to a tie), all scenes were nicely shot and I liked the architectural design of all places.

Conclusion: watch it only for your eyes, because the story is not developed enough. Cheeeeea!!!

6.5.12

The Avengers

Secretly hoping that my contribution to The Avengers' first weekend box office will make a difference...make a sky high profit...bigger than Titanic's. *crossing fingers*

G.E.N.I.U.S. is the only word that comes to mind. Seriously, where else can you find such a good storyline and amazing cast? Wordless level of eye candy from second 1 till the ending credit. What more can you ask? Having Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Helmsworth as Thor, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Scarlett Johanson as Black Widow, and Cobie Smulder as Agent Maria Hill.

The only downside is prolly the fact that Samuel Jackson got too much screentime, but on the other hand...

...my favorite and world-saving Iron Man still got his charm, if not, even more. Moreover, he is probably the only person on earth who can have that level of charisma without me having a word of complaint.
